You can also try to run GUFW, which is a graphical interface of ufw and it makes all these operations easier. I usually recommend using UFW as it is the simplest firewall on Linux and yet it is sufficient for most users. So, I won’t go into this discussion again.

It usually supports more video formats and it is also more configurable and powerful than GNOME Videos app. To be sure you will be able to play any video format, I recommend installing VLC.
